Reflection

God’s judgment isn’t based on who we are related to or how much money we have or how important we are in the community. Don’t use these superficial things to assess a person’s worth and decide that he or she is unworthy of your respect and kindness. We all stand equal before God and this is how we should view and treat those around us – regardless of their circumstances.

Collect for the Day

Almighty Father, you have given your only Son to die for our sins and to rise again for our justification: grant us so to put away the leaven of malice and wickedness that we may always serve you in pureness of living and truth; through the merits of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
