Reflection

There’s nothing wrong with doubt . . . unless you get stuck in it and let it harden into unbelief. Consider all the Bible characters who doubted: Each one ultimately realized that God was who He said He was. So whenever you get worn down by the responsibilities you carry as a child of God, think of John in that prison cell. God will surely bless you when you overcome your uncertainties and stand strong in your faith.

Collect for the Day

Almighty Father, you have given your only Son to die for our sins and to rise again for our justification: grant us so to put away the leaven of malice and wickedness that we may always serve you in pureness of living and truth; through the merits of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
