Reflection

True wealth is found in growing your spiritual life, not your assets. You see, God’s more concerned with the eternal (our souls) than the temporary (our money and possessions). So no matter how much money you have in your bank account, keep your priorities straight. Know God. Serve Him. And use whatever you have to bring Him glory.

Pray for the wealthy people you know. Ask God to reveal the truth about money and possessions to them and help them keep a proper perspective. Pray for the poor people you know. Ask God to meet every need they have.

Collect for the Day

Lord of all life and power, who through the mighty resurrection of your Son overcame the old order of sin and death to make all things new in him: grant that we, being dead to sin and alive to you in Jesus Christ, may reign with him in glory; to whom with you and the Holy Spirit be praise and honour, glory and might, now and in all eternity. Amen.
