Reflection

You have a big job ahead of you. Maybe it's a major presentation to a key client. Maybe it's preparing a banquet for a large wedding party. Maybe it's finalizing the specs and budget for an enormous construction project in a foreign country. How do you feel when you face a monumental task? Overwhelmed? Inadequate? Scared? Weak? You may even feel like giving up.

When you consider the work that must be done for the Kingdom of God, the job can seem overwhelming. But the key is simply to live closely in the power and wisdom of God. Rely on Him to guide you and to give you the strength and wisdom for what he has called you to do.

Collect for the Day

O God, who hast prepared for them that love thee such good things as pass man's understanding; Pour into our hearts such love toward thee, that we, loving thee above all things, may obtain thy promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
