Reflection

Have you ever had a looming deadline for a project that will have an impact on not only your future but the lives of your coworkers as well? Whether you have or not, you can imagine the weight of responsibility you would feel. God has wonderful plans for your life. And it’s important to remember that even the smallest tasks for Him are part of His training for you. Take advantage of the numerous opportunities you have to grow in being responsible.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote, “We judge ourselves by what we feel capable of doing, while others judge us by what we have already done.” Would people consider you a responsible person? Pray that God would entrust you with greater responsibility by being faithful with the tasks you do for other this week.

Collect for the Day

Merciful God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as pass our understanding: pour into our hearts such love toward you that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
