Reflection

God doesn’t expect any one person to do all the work himself or herself. He wants the body of Christ to work together – just as the parts of a human body must work together for His glory. Don’t let your gift gather dust, stuffed away somewhere. Use it. Enjoy it. The Giver will be very happy when you do. And He will give you all the faith and power you’ll need to succeed.

Ask God to help you see things as He does. When you gave your heart to Him you also gave Him your trust that He knows best and that our assumptions, when not backed up by Scripture and fervent prayer, are misguided.

Collect for the Day

Almighty God, whose Son restored Mary Magdalene to health of mind and body and called her to be a witness to his resurrection: forgive our sins and heal us by your grace, that we may serve you in the power of his risen life; who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
