Reflection

Look around your home at the little treasures you have on shelves, desks or tables. As you look at each object, take note of why you kept it, why it’s special to you, what it means to you. We treasure things because of the memories associated with them and because of the people they bring to mind. Remember, though, that heavenly treasure is far more valuable than earthly wealth. And, too, don't forget that God-given treasure cannot be taken from us. Pray for your family members and friends who are connected to cherished objects. Then ask God to give you treasures in heaven that are far more important than your perishable things.

Collect for the Day

Gracious Father, by the obedience of Jesus you brought salvation to our wayward world: draw us into harmony with your will, that we may find all things restored in him, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
