Reflection

You’ve probably met people who can’t seem to remember anything. How often do we as Christians act as if we have no memory of what God has done for us? We need reminders to strengthen our faith in times of weakness and turn us back to God when we rebel. So many of us have repeated patterns of rebellion followed by God’s mercy, grace and forgiveness. God faithfully shows remarkable patience with His people, refusing to abandon us despite our rejection of Him.

We need to remember and praise God for all that He has done for us. We must also honor His regulations and laws that are just and right, and decrees and commands that are good because each of these were given to us so we can live holy and righteous lives that are pleasing to Him.

Collect for the Day

Loving Father, we thank you for feeding us at the supper of your Son: sustain us with your Spirit, that we may serve you here on earth until our joy is complete in heaven, and we share in the eternal banquet with Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
