Reflection

Are you sitting down? Then you’re trusting that chair to keep you from falling. Do you have an alarm clock? Then you’re trusting it to make sure you wake up. The only problem is that chairs can break and alarm clocks can fail to go off. In prayer. review your life before God. Ask yourself, Whom do I trust? Are the people and things you get your security from keeping you from placing your total trust in God? Thank Him that He is totally trustworthy and that you can always rely on Him. Then commit to trusting in Him for all things. Trust that God will give you wisdom as you reach out to others. Don’t rely on your own preconceived ideas or personal prejudices but place your daily walk and ministry fully in His hands. He will never forsake you or  steer you down a fruitless path.

Collect for the Day

Almighty Father, whom truly to know is eternal life: teach us to know your Son Jesus Christ as the way, the truth, and the life; that we may follow the steps of your holy apostles Philip and James, and walk steadfastly in the way that leads to your glory; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
