Reflection

Justice is close to God’s heart. He cares deeply that all people are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their social standing. You can share God’s passion for justice by doing good, especially by standing up for people who are treated unfairly. Pray for political and business leaders, especially Christians, to have the courage to do what they know is right when it comes to caring for the poor and oppressed in our culture.

Collect for the Day

O God the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: we beseech you, leave us not comfortless, but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us and exalt us to the place where our Saviour Christ is gone before who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
