Reflection
On your way to work or the grocery today, you probably stepped on grass, asphalt, litter and the floor mat of your car. As long as the way is safe, sturdy and somewhat clean, we usually give little thought to what’s underfoot. In contrast, we feel the loss when we accidentally step on and break something of value. Yet nothing is more valuable than the world’s population – men and women all created in the image of God. Remember we are called to care for His precious creation and treat everyone with kindness and dignity.
Collect for the Day
O God the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: we beseech you, leave us not comfortless, but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us and exalt us to the place where our Saviour Christ is gone before, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
