Reflection

Think about the opportunities you have to reach out to someone with God's love. What a privilege that can be. When someone comes to you hurting, lonely, or frustrated because of their troubles, you can offer them understanding, acceptance, and love in Jesus’ name. You can be the channel for God’s comfort in their lives. And there’s no greater blessing than that.

And, if you’re wrestling with troubles in your own life, take a step back and look at the big picture with God in prayer. Ask Him to shower you with His love. Then ask Him to give you opportunities to share that love with others who are hurting too.

Collect for the Day

Merciful God, who, when your Church on earth was torn apart by the ravages of sin, raised up men and women in this land who witnessed to their faith with courage and constancy: give to your Church that peace which is your will, and grant that those who have been divided on earth may be reconciled in heaven and share together in the vision of your glory; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
