Reflection

Psalm 15 is dedicated to those who are fit for communion with God because they are known by their conformity to His Law. This psalm of David gives no indication of the occasion upon which it was written. Like Psalm 24, to which it bears a close resemblance, its composition was in some respect connected with the establishment of the tabernacle on Zion. As the Psalm opens, David asks who is able to approach the God of holiness. The few verses that follow provide the answer. When a person lives a righteous life, nothing can shake that him or her away from God’s service. These words are as true today as they were thousands of years ago when they were first composed

Collect for the Day

Merciful Father, who chose your bishop Gregory to be a servant of the servants of God: grant that, like him, we may ever long to serve you by proclaiming your gospel to the nations, and may ever rejoice to sing your praises; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
